Unlocking Your Songs is a 30-session masterclass on the songwriting craft taught by JUNO award-winning songwriter and recording artist Brian Doerksen. Sessions 1 – 10 focus on foundations, creative process and song structure; Sessions 11 – 20 on lyric writing skills; Sessions 21 – 30 on melody, chord changes and how to sustain a life of creativity. Each session is made up of ‘on-demand’ video segments guiding you through the layers of songcraft. Between segments you are invited to listen to various song examples curated from all types of genres and eras. You watch and listen to the videos and songs at your own pace. Brian has over 30 years of experience leading workshops and teaching courses on songwriting and this is the first time all his wisdom and insight is gathered up into an in-depth online course.
